Pull up a chair

Bring a question.
Leave with a little clarity.

That thing you’re unsure about before the start. The part of your race you’re still thinking about afterwards. Tune-Up gives you a chance to talk it through with a coach, right there at the event.

  1. 01

    Come and find us.

Head to the Tune-Up area before you race or after you finish. Your race guide will show you where we’ll be.

  2. 02

    Take the next spot.

If a coach is available, come over and take a seat. If everyone’s with an athlete, wait nearby and we’ll bring you through as a spot opens. First come, first served.

  3. 03

    Make it about you.

Choose one question to focus on. Talk it through, ask what you need to ask, and take away something practical for your next start line.

A little perspective goes a long way

Before you start.
After you finish.

Pre-race

Head to the start with a clearer plan.

Ask about pacing, talk through transitions or get a little guidance on the part you’re feeling unsure about.

Come early enough to enjoy the chat and still have plenty of time for your race preparations and briefing.

Swim

“What should I focus on at the swim start?”

Bike

“How hard should I go on the bike?”

Race day

“How can I make my transitions smoother?”

Post-race

Make sense of your race while it’s fresh.

Talk through what went well, what felt tough and what you’d like to do differently next time.

Your splits or watch activity can help, but they’re optional. How the race felt is a useful place to start.

Pacing

“Did I go out too hard?”

Run

“Why did the run feel so tough?”

Next time

“What’s the one thing I should work on?”

Good to know

A few things
before you visit.

Come with a question, an open mind and a little time to spare.

Do I need to book?

No booking is needed. Come to the Tune-Up area and take the next available spot. If the coaches are busy, wait nearby and the team will bring people through in arrival order.

Is it for beginners too?

Absolutely. Whether you’re preparing for your first triathlon or have plenty of races behind you, bring the question that matters to you.

How long is a coaching chat?

Think around five minutes: a short, focused conversation with time to explore one main question and a useful next step.

Should I bring my race data?

If you’d like to discuss it, have your race splits or relevant watch activity open on your phone before you sit down. Data is optional—you can get plenty from a conversation about how the race felt.

Can I visit before and after my race?

Yes. Come by beforehand to talk through your plan, then return after you finish to discuss how it went. Both visits are subject to a coach being available, so allow time for a wait.
